
The National Sea Grant Law Center is excited to welcome Summer Research Associate Tess Bradley, a 2L at Vermont Law and Graduate School. Tess will take part in the Community Engaged Legal Internship Program, working with NSGLC and our Sea Grant program partners on aquatic invasive species research. Learn more about Tess below!
1. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Ludington, Michigan.
2. What was your first job?
My first job was serving at a local Bed & Breakfast.
3. Who inspires you?
I am inspired daily by other women in the environmental field!
4. What made you consider a career in law?
I majored in environmental sustainability, and each class that I took seemed to introduce me to a new environmental crisis without offering potential solutions. I decided to be a proactive force by pursuing a legal platform for environmental advocacy.
5. What are you most excited about doing this summer?
This summer, I am excited to connect with like-minded legal professionals and dive into new areas of legal research.
6. Where’s your favorite beach?
My favorite beach is a section of the Lake Michigan shoreline that locals call “The Curves.” It’s near Ludington State Park and is surrounded by dunes. It also has views of multiple lighthouses!
7. What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, looking for beach glass, and spending time with friends and family.
8. Do you have any hidden talents? What are they?
One of my hidden talents is singing with my mouth closed!
