The National Sea Grant Law Center

Sea Grant Law & Policy Journal

Call for Student Papers

The Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal is seeking submissions from law students for papers addressing coastal, ocean, and Great Lakes law and policy issues. Chosen papers will be published in the Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal during the 2015-1016 academic year. Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Central Time on Friday, November 13, 2015.

The Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal is an Open Access online journal that provides a forum
for the timely discussion and exploration of legal topics of relevance to the Sea Grant network of extension agents, researchers, coastal managers and users, and local decision-makers. The
Journal features concise, 30 – 35 page, articles on a range of law and policy subjects including fisheries, coastal development, coastal access, invasive species, and pollution. Unlike traditional law reviews, the Journal highlights more applied research and case studies.

Applications:

Students have two options for responding to this call for papers:

  • Submitting a full, completed article draft for possible inclusion in a Fall/Winter edition of the Journal; or

  • A letter of interest concerning a paper currently in progress, including the paper’s topic and anticipated date of completion, for possible inclusion in a Spring edition of the Journal.

Please send all submissions in Word format to: Catherine Janasie, Editor of the Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal, at cjanasie@olemiss.edu.

Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Central Time on Friday, November 13, 2015.
