2015-2016 Symposium Series Competition

The National Sea Grant Law Center is accepting applications from Sea Grant College Programs to organize and host symposiums addressing coastal, ocean, and Great Lakes law and policy issues. Proceedings from the symposiums will be published by the National Sea Grant Law Center in the Sea Grant Law and Policy Journal through the Journal’s 2016 publication cycle. Funding is limited to $10,000 per symposium and the Law Center anticipates selecting 2-3 proposals for funding.

Applications are limited to five pages, and should be submitted in letter format (PDF) to Catherine Janasie, National Sea Grant Law Center Research Counsel and Editor of the Sea Grant Law & Policy Journal, electronically at cjanasie@olemiss.edu. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday July 15, 2015.

Eligibility

The following entities are eligible to apply to this funding opportunity:

  • Sea Grant College Programs
  • Sea Grant Institutional Programs
  • The Guam Sea Grant Project
  • The Lake Champlain Sea Grant Project

  • To be considered for funding, Sea Grant programs must formally partner with a law school within their state and/or region. A letter of commitment from the law school partner must be attached to the application package.
